After adjusting the BIOS settings but seeing no improvement, I used the AMD Ryzen Master app with Auto Overlocking. My clock speed jumped to an average of 4.2 and a peak of 4.35, which is fine. Windows seems to show a different clock speed of 3.2 now, which doesn’t match the other tools or the updated ratings. Thanks for your assistance!
I think the thermal or PPT restrictions might be the main factor slowing down the turbo. The higher fabric clock usually demands more power, which can cap performance for lower-power chips. It’s unclear how Ryzen Master autoOC handles Zen2, but it might have removed some of these constraints. In short, you probably don’t need to overclock for normal performance, though boosting power limits with a solid GPU is common.
