Check your GPU first before proceeding.

It seems almost inactive. I expected a minimum of 60°C when operating.

Sure thing, but why is it so important to maintain 60 fps with minimal settings? It seems there’s a reason behind this requirement. My setup might not be that bad, but I’m curious if there’s something affecting performance. When idle, temperatures hover around 25-40°C, which isn’t ideal. I just want smooth gameplay and can’t tolerate noticeable drops.

Using the Razer Cortex ensures you have no background programs installed. Also, have you confirmed your drivers are updated?

It's possible it can still run as a background program. The GPU and chipset seem up to date, though the BIOS might need attention. Proceed with caution and double-check.

I suggest refreshing the bios, though it makes sense if you prefer. I plan to fetch CPU drivers, as the processor didn’t optimize well on Windows 10. If that doesn’t work, I’ll download a new Windows 7 Pro version so you can test game performance. This advice comes from knowing my system has an i5-7700k Kaby Lake and Windows 8—remember, Kaby Lake CPUs aren’t compatible with Windows 10, and even then they struggled under load, causing high FPS drops. That CPU is solid hardware, so I wouldn’t advise replacing it.

What is this? It doesn't exist. The chipset driver handles it. In fact, DC is a relatively new CPU (2014). Although it was released before Windows 10, Intel, motherboard makers, and Microsoft prioritize backward compatibility with software and hardware. That's not what I mentioned earlier. You possess more recent hardware than the operating system, which means they decided to discontinue support for older OS versions.

Executing DC on Windows 10 is currently functioning properly.

Hey there... sorry for the delayed response—I was on vacation. But now I’ve got another issue that’s even more puzzling. It seems my system is giving me extremely poor performance in some games after a short run (like 10–25 FPS). Usually, it runs smoothly, but this happens especially after waking up from sleep mode or even on a restart. It’s uncertain whether it’s due to overclocking or something else. I reset everything back to defaults, but the problem persists. What could possibly cause this?
