I'm considering starting the game Forza Horizon 3 soon, but I have some worries about its performance. I've played Apex before and usually got around 60 fps with medium settings, though I sometimes saw stutters. Switching to an SSD helps a bit, but they still happen. It seems the game is using all system resources heavily—CPU, RAM, VRAM, and even the HDD. I'm wondering if it behaves similarly and what affordable solutions exist to fix those stutters on my setup. I was thinking more RAM or another SSD would work, but a GPU seems too costly right now. Appreciate any advice you can give.

Lower the adjustments. FH3 puts a lot of pressure on PCs.

The performance has improved significantly since the release. It remains a challenging game, but the gap between ultra and lower settings isn't as noticeable as in other titles. I run FH3 in 4K ultra at roughly 90fps, consuming around 90% of my CPU, 100% of the GPU, about 8-9GB RAM, and 6.5GB VRAM. At 1080p it uses much less resources.

It seems like you're noticing an inconsistency with 4K at ultra settings and 90fps. That's unusual—check your hardware, settings, and network connection.

I started with medium settings. In Apex, my GTX 960 was running at 60 except for those quick freezes. It’s a good sign. With Optimizations and medium, I’m curious if 8 GB of RAM would work. Another point: I don’t have home internet and intend to download the game from a neighbor’s place. Does this title function well without regular internet access or frequent updates?

It struggles with poor internet connections. A 1070 model can run at high settings and still show frame drops, possibly due to the CPU.

For DRM purposes, I could connect my phone to launch the game. Mostly single-player is what you'll find, but it's unclear if this title offers a proper single-player experience.

What's unusual is only when it really drops below 90, which happens in cities with lots of buildings and traffic. Then it falls to the mid-60s. In more open spaces, I consistently see around 90 fps.

Sure, I didn't realize that. It might resemble Project CARS then.
