Hello, I’m experiencing an issue with my PC’s frame rate while gaming. Whenever I load a Mega Structure in Minecraft or start a team fight in League of Legends, the FPS drops significantly and sudden lag spikes occur. These interruptions happen especially when the CPU is under strain. After stress testing with CPU-Z, we found that high CPU usage is likely responsible. Initially, we thought the temperature might be the issue, but it remained stable around 54°C. The problem seemed to emerge only after I replaced my monitor, mouse, and keyboard—though it might have been there before. Reading about Windows 11’s polling rate concerns led us to lower it from 1000 Hz to 500 Hz, but that didn’t fix the issue. All peripherals and graphics drivers are up to date. Where exactly is the problem coming from, and how can I resolve it?

Try starting the PC in Safe Mode with Networking to check if the issue disappears. If it does, the problem is likely a process loading during normal startup.

The instructions provided have been addressed. The issue with gaming performance remains unresolved despite troubleshooting steps. Further investigation is needed to resolve the persistent problems.

We attempted to mimic the issue in save mode but weren’t sure how to sufficiently overload the CPU to trigger it.

Well, something is definitely horribly wrong. Not sure what just yet. Is this a re-used Windows installation from another system or after an upgrade? Have you checked all the cables on the PSU and motherboard to see if they are tightly connected? From the data you posted, we can rule out CPU & GPU temps GPU and CPU running at a combined total of 349 Mhz it's... almost one of those Intel Celerons I honestly didn't know the hardware could clock that low. They must be playing limbo and the GPU is definitely winning: Spoiler

It wasn't exactly what I expected, but we had to transfer it from my SSD to another drive. That way the first one could be cleared and reset to GPT, then we restored Windows back to the original SSD.

I've checked them both times now and nothing looks different.

We already knew this, but I'm still unsure if it would have been better. At least it's reassuring that my GPU is performing well. I hope it makes up for the current situation, given how it affects my mental state.

You can indeed transform an MBR into a GPT without relocating Windows, though that doesn't explain the issue. Reverting to the original monitor, mouse, and keyboard seems to resolve it, suggesting the problem likely lies with the motherboard or power supply unit. I'm uncertain about testing those components, but that's my best assumption. Would you like me to run Cinebench R23 and share a screenshot?

Spoiler Sadly the problem remains even after swapping back to the old gear, which is weird, considering I`ve played The same game on the same settings with the same setup before, and didn´t have the Problem. We´re going to reset the computer since there isn´t any valuable Information on it yet. If that doesn´t fix the Problem I´m going to cry, and come back to you with the bad news. If it does however fix it I´m still very grateful for your patience and help

10K should reflect roughly half the CPU score expected for a 5900X multi-core Cinebench R23, suggesting the issue isn't GPU-dependent. Is the 24-pin connection on the motherboard securely connected to both the board and the PSU? It seems like cooling, the motherboard itself, or the power supply might be the culprit. Alternatively, a strange setting in the UEFI could be causing the problem. Have you attempted to reset the CMOS? Check %SYSTEMROOT%\Minidump or any .dmp files in %SYSTEMROOT% and open them in File Explorer.
