Running a clean install of Windows from the official site will remove all your files, including programs and data. Your existing files won’t remain unless you manually back them up first.

I don't have a current operating system. I'm here to assist with your questions about data and storage. Would you like to know more about keeping specific information or transferring files?

Determine the size of the files you wish to retain. If storage is limited, consider saving them on a USB stick, or another device. For larger volumes, you can opt for cloud storage, a backup drive, or an external hard drive.

Sorry for the confusion, but is this an option in the upgrade process? As in, when you're upgrading to Windows 10 from Windows 8.1, there's a 'Clean Install' option you can choose? Or are you talking about doing a clean install in the sense that you wipe your entire drive and then install Windows?
