The bios option allows you to set the PCIe to 8x, but it might be restricting it without a clear reason.

I haven't seen a BIOS option for the CPU slots before. I understand there is one for the bottom chipset slot with Auto, X4, and X2 configurations.

You're checking why the USB ports feel sluggish. USB 3.0 runs slower than SATA III, so using an external SSD won't reach its full potential. PCIe 2.0 x1 can handle up to 500MB/s, while top SATA drives offer around 560MB/s and the best USB 3.0 reaches about 450MB/s. In practice, PCIe 2.0 x1 works adequately when handling just one transfer at a time.

I got it—your setup was confusing and you were worried about performance issues. It looks like you have a Ryzen processor instead of an A-Series or Athlon chip. On those, the middle x16 slot connects to the CPU lanes, which reduces your GPU performance to PCIe 3.0 x8. This results in roughly a 3-4% drop for a 3080, though the M.2 drive will still operate at full PCIe 3.0 x4.

It's caused some problems when I connected a rift base station, though not always. Now I'm okay with using two base stations via USB 10GB ports, and the headset and third station through USB 5G ports, which seem to work differently. I don't really need the hubs, but I definitely dislike them.
