I've spent a lot of time on this and still can't find a suitable solution. I'm struggling to access all my 24GB of RAM. My setup includes two 8GB Corsair Vengeance (B1/B2) and two 4GB Venom Patriot (A1/A2) in a B350 MATE motherboard. I've replaced the RAM slots three times and even swapped the sticks, but nothing changes. Is there something missing? Please share more details or PC specifications if you'd like. I previously configured a 24 gig setup, and it isn't restricted by the maker. I run an MSI B350 PC MATE.
Review the active background tasks to see what is running. You can locate this in Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Escape).
It would be the browser running in the background with extensions enabled, using up about 12 gigabytes of reserved memory. I mentioned having a previous configuration for that, which is confusing.
Search forums for "hardware reserved" – several options exist. Possible issues include damaged sticks or incorrect placement. Disk caching software might be involved. An iGPU is unlikely, as they usually support up to 2 GB.
