It's wise to verify compatibility. Certain motherboards may encounter problems with NH-D15, especially those with vrm clearance or positioned near the first PCIe X16 slot. NH=D15 works fine. Noctua has provided a compatibility list for their motherboards. The relevant socket is LGA1700 and the site is ncc.noctua.at.

Nevertheless, I checked the nhd15s cooling on the manufacturer's site, but it doesn't offer much ventilation for my setup.
I’m aiming for a motherboard under $250, so I can pick the same z790 ud ax model or opt for a slightly pricier one.
