Hello, I play about 9 hours daily but take breaks occasionally. I’m experiencing discomfort in my lower back and tailbone, which has become more noticeable over the past five months. While the pain wasn’t severe before, it’s now causing stress. I’d like suggestions for a supportive chair or any other solutions to ease pressure on my back and tailbone. Thank you for your help!

It seems like you're describing some discomfort with your chair and posture. There are many ergonomic options available that fit different budgets. However, prolonged sitting without movement or insufficient exercise might indicate a back issue—consult a healthcare professional for advice.

Unless your role demands constant sitting, it seems odd you're working nine or more hours daily. That’s very unsustainable.

You can adjust your setup to support better posture while playing. Consider positioning your chair and monitor to align your body naturally, helping you maintain a comfortable and ergonomic position during gameplay.

Identify the issue, consult a healthcare professional, use an adjustable chair, and reduce prolonged sitting.

I spend much of my time at one desk, probably over nine hours daily. Maybe I need to adjust my routine, but a great gaming chair suggestion would really help.

Improve your sitting habits. I've observed that when I sit for extended periods and slouch, I become very uncomfortable. Maintaining proper posture makes it much easier and allows me to stay seated longer. I’d like to limit how long I sit and consider using a standing desk instead of a high-end chair. A good chair is important, but alternating between sitting and standing could be beneficial. The Mayo Clinic offers guidance on office ergonomics. Visiting a doctor is also a sensible idea, even if just for reassurance.

Arrange your chair correctly, position your arms comfortably, set the desk at the ideal height, place the monitor at the same level, maintain good posture by sitting upright and supporting your back.

I rest cross-legged on my chair. Being shorter means the arms don’t block much. This position encourages better posture—if your knees allow. I’ve been doing this for about ten years, and so far it’s working out well.

You don’t have to buy a gaming chair. I own a Flintan from IKEA, which costs around $60 to $70. It’s really comfortable.
