Generally attempting to play, but we see a spike roughly every three minutes. Happens with any game we run. Two computers connected, switch setup. I’m tech-savvy but this one is challenging me. We’ve talked to our ISP several times and changed our router. It’s been happening for a while, but now I’m experiencing it again after returning home.

What devices are part of your setup? Are they wired or wireless? Is it connected directly to the router, via an access point, through a switch, or multiple switches? Share details or models of the equipment involved in the affected machines. We need more information here.

Wireless and wired options are available. Computers use wired connections, while the switch operates wirelessly. Delays will happen simultaneously. The new TP Link AXE7800 router experienced this issue before, along with the previous model.

Fortunately, this indicates it isn't the router. What other devices are affected? It appears to be originating from a shared source.

Consider testing Wireshark on the network briefly while playing to detect any anomalies. It seems the problem might be elsewhere, possibly at a junction box or another location.

Only those who enjoy playing games observe these brief increases.

Everyone uses the same network-connected device. Are you all connected via a router, or do you have a modem and router combined? Are there any other shared gadgets among the group?

The router is the only device connected to the ISP. Everything else is either directly linked or uses wireless connection.
