I installed the first RAM module with a relatively tight fit. When I tried the second stick, the plastic cover began to lift off, producing a glue-like sound under pressure. I was able to reassemble it, but I’m worried about any other damage or how long it will stay stable. My RAM is Corsair Vengeance DDR5 2x16GB. Assistance would be very much appreciated.

Capture the image and add it to your update. It's tough to tell what failed just from the details you shared.

I'm not sure if this is a good picture or not but you can see a very slight gap between the 2 plastic plates and that gap used to be alot wider and was loose, until I squeezed them together and seemingly fixed it. Also I'm 99% sure it wasn't my fault as I didn't touch it beforehand.

It's still okay to proceed as long as temperatures remain acceptable. Your friend suggested it's just minor issues, so you should be fine until a replacement is available.

Looking at the pictures, there don't seem to be any more room where the gap can be fully closed and I won't force close it, cause there is definitely some capacitor and inductors peeking through that gap. Also, it looks fine.

Check the steps carefully and ensure everything fits correctly. The video shows the M.2 slot going deeper, but your unit doesn’t behave the same unless you skip a step. Look at the attached picture for details. It looks like the locker might be preventing the SSD from sliding in properly. Consider replacing it with one that came with the motherboard.

It looks like a handy device. Just place it in the NVMe slot, move it forward then reverse it to secure it.

Hiya, The SSD didn't go past the clip so it can lock (not sure if that's a mobo or an SSD issue) as the other slot worked perfectly fine. However I have DIYed a fix by unscrewing the black clip, putting the SSD in and screwing the clip back on. It seems secure and there seems to be contact with the heat sink I just have to take the clip out again if I ever need to take the SSD out

It looks okay at the moment, but I’m concerned it might come loose over time and affect cooling. The gap is getting a bit wider now.
