Usually, if a product is faulty, you should reach out to the retailer where you purchased it (such as Amazon) to arrange a return or exchange. However, with the heat spreader issue, it becomes challenging to confirm the defect originated there. Reach out to Corsair for an RMA and swap the RAM with them.

It looks like a simple adhesive solution. Just swap out the tape and keep going.

even if I skipped adding heatsinks when purchasing an XMP stick, from a regular person's perspective I wouldn't imagine my RAM being in such a mess and the heatsinks detaching. After all, you paid for them, so it makes sense they were installed correctly.
