- It doesn't matter which option you select.
-Adapative: the gpu mostly stays idle when not in use to conserve energy
-Highest performance: operates at full capacity no matter the task
Both options outperform the standard optimal setting.

the msi afterburner isn't nvidia control panel; it has a power limit bar. Someone mentioned checking power and temperature limits, so you should verify if setting them to maximum is safe.

You have the option to increase them as much as desired without causing damage. The settings will stay within the limits set by the GPU's vbios. In short, you can't destroy the card unless you bypass the bios or expose it to liquids.

I have an inno3d GTX 1050 compact with 200 on core and 800 on memory clock. It runs very stably in most games, but I still experience crashes in the middle of projects.

Review the game forums to see if anyone else is facing the same problem.

Between a lower oc such as 180 CC and 500 for MC, it works smoothly at 40-60 fps on ultra. Sometimes it drops to 20 fps. I don't know why, possibly the CPU is restricting performance.
