So far I don't think it's too bad, it's definitely better than Windows 8 or at least the interface of Windows 8. My first concerns were about the tiles on the start menu and that annoying search button—I don't know what others think, but these features aren't my favorites. The initial setup wasn't overly problematic; I actually miss the logo from the Windows 8 beta, which would have been a fish. The first boot wasn't bad, and driver issues were surprisingly well-handled by Microsoft for the beta version. What do you think about those who've tried it? It's going to become my go-to app for a while now. I installed it on my T420 yesterday and have been using it all day. I'm actually using it right now, lol.

I would have nothing suitable and I only have a desktop. If I had a laptop or something I used for browsing, I might have placed it there instead.

Remember initially, what we’re employing isn’t the final OS version. Significant changes are coming before it reflects that. Up to now, it’s working well. The only hiccup was needing a full reinstall after a hard reset made my peripherals nonfunctional. This also happened with Windows 8/.1, which makes sense given the ongoing roots issue in Windows Technical Preview.

I placed it on a virtual machine and everything looks fine so far. No serious issues, just need to monitor things. But Microsoft must perform a massive cleanup of the store. When I searched for Cortana, it directed me to a cheap 2$ app in the Windows Store that gives you commands for using Cortana on a Windows phone... Honestly, it’s not great.

It's Windows 8.1 with a standard start menu. After installing, since I mostly play games (otherwise I use OS X), it works just fine. However, the new features introduced some fresh icons and rearranged item positions, which isn't as smooth as before.

I own a version with ID 8.1 starting at position 8, and I plan to retain it for a while—possibly even after the complete launch of 10.

They're referring to it as 10 instead of 9

It works well on VMware with strong performance. I appreciate the updated start menu and the additional features they added.
