I believe a hat in time could appeal to kids. A short story would suit a 9-year-old better. No inappropriate words, just more challenging than typical games for ages 5-7. Strengthen your logic skills through coding and similar activities. Cross code seems suitable for younger players. Early Access had no profanity, which was nice. I wonder if Furi could cause an early answer management issue—probably not. NASA moonbase Alpha is a free game from NASA. Spore is another option. They likely disabled the servers so it’s now single-player offline. Shovel Knight is fast-paced. Many forza titles are available on PC, and everyone enjoys driving games.
You might find it challenging to obtain games through legal means, particularly without access to a modified Nintendo console. I’m not sure I’d want to expose a 9-year-old to such situations—hacking is acceptable and legal, but you’d still need a WiiU to begin with.
She enjoyed Sims a lot over the years, especially getting dressed up the characters before playing. She also liked Skyrim, Halo, and Tycoon games. Roblox was a favorite too.
Back in my time, I was crushing it on Gothic II, some shooters like CSGO, Left 4 Dead, and other games, eventually becoming a non-violent adult. I’m not sure about those days—I think parents must be too protective.
