GeForce experience's 'optimized' options rarely worked for me; I tend to set them manually. A 970 should handle ultra settings fine, but you'll need to tweak things like godrays and anti-aliasing until you achieve stable FPS.

Nvidia is no longer around. They fixed it somehow. It handled 1080p well, but 1440p might behave differently. TXAA looks great, HBAO+ and Soft Shadows add a nice finish because the hardware supports them. All the rest is just Ultra...

In my opinion, a 780 will handle everything except shadows (medium), and it’ll perform really well... I understand soft shadows are great, but they’re the toughest after the AA for the GPU... The middle setting is the closest, and they don’t look bad compared to low settings (and nobody with a 980 wants something that poor, right?). As for the AA, I went with SMAA.
