Opinion Poll: Should Steam Developers Be Permitted To Include Impossible Achievements?
It feels unnecessary to include accomplishments when they can't actually be achieved.
Absolutely, I understand. Including achievements that are hard to earn can feel frustrating for some players who enjoy collecting every badge and want to display their accomplishments.
I didn’t really pay much attention to the whole achievement thing. A few years back, when it was just starting out, my cousin got onto my Xbox 360 and said, “Oh, you have so many little achievements,” and I thought… what?
If I valued accomplishments, I wouldn't be interested anymore. I'd learn about them, realize they're unattainable, and continue with my routine. It doesn't challenge my abilities in games or problem-solving, nor does it push me to earn rewards. It's simply not realistic. Many of these goals are very obscure. Unless I'm overlooking something, it seems reasonable to accept them as pointless. If this bothers you enough to voice your concerns online, it might indicate deeper issues. =p In reality, I find the humorous remarks entertaining—it feels a bit like an editor's remark.
turnip is a dead meme please stop. it's just ground up bone dust blowing in the wind now. stop, there's no horse left to beat. and no. if they're obtainable through some sneaky way, like tinkering with the game files, sure. but completely unattainable, no.
Its fun when an achivement pup in, but i dont hunt them and i dont realy care about it. And who the Hell should forbid this? ?
