For Steam, consider removing the files instead of the folder: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\appcache\htmlcache %LOCALAPPDATA%\Steam\htmlcache. Some users reported success by uninstalling Steam, installing CCleaner, and using its free version. Open CCleaner, go to the "Registry" tab, run a scan for problems, and let it fix them. You may need to delete specific Steam-related registry entries if that resolves the issue. Additionally, you can clear Steam cache via Steam settings or disable shader pre-caching. If these steps help, restart the Steam client and try again.

Link resolved. Review your earlier update with additional options. Perhaps Chrome would work better. Here’s a suggested fix: Remove the %LOCALAPPDATA%\Google\Chrome folder from your downloads. Clear C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome. If problems persist, restart and delete the folders, then reinstall Chrome.

No results from Chrome tests. The Steam feature works with the Steam Client WebHelper module, but it doesn’t seem to influence the SteamUI. For Steam, the issue lies in the Steam Client WebHelper. Also, Edge has stopped functioning again. It looks like none of these programs are behaving correctly on new profiles, possibly indicating a different underlying problem.

Edge ceased functioning yet Discord remains operational—this is quite unusual. No recent updates have addressed this problem, which seems unexpected. It might be related to the Nvidia user profile directory. Have you attempted a fresh installation of the Nvidia drivers (excluding GeForce Experience)? You referred to a clean install but weren’t certain about preserving settings or not. Using DDU in SafeMode and removing the specified path before reinstalling could help.

I previously attempted a full driver replacement for both the previous and present graphics cards.
