Windows Vista performed well once the initial update was released, and Windows 8.1 delivered excellent results.
It helps them understand which features are actually used versus ignored. As someone who builds software, those insights wouldn’t exist without the data gathered by my tools.
If you've paid any attention to tech news since the release of windows 10, you would have seen more than plenty of stuff come up about it. And I care because I shouldn't have to worry about my operating system keylogging me and such by default, it should at least clearly say what will be sent back to microsoft in the settings and such. I don't care if they're "just going to use it to improve future versions and fix bugs", I don't want them spying on me, same goes for anyone else.
I didn’t have any real problems, and even now I rarely open the start menu. Everything I need is on my desktop—probably because of Rainmeter. I’m not alone; many people share that feeling, and I know others who feel the same way. It seems to work fine for most users with Windows 8.1.
