You might be able to play JC3 with high settings at 50-60fps on your setup. The benchmark you saw was for a newer processor, so it’s worth checking if your R9 380 can handle the demands. Your CPU seems capable, but keep in mind that older hardware may struggle with modern games, especially if the GPU isn’t optimized for AMD. The game developers are likely working on improvements, so it’s possible performance will increase over time.

It's true, I'll upgrade once I have the funds. I'm considering a Skylake i5, though the chip bending has made me hesitant. It'll likely take a while before I can afford another graphics card and an i5, at least six months.

Not exactly 50-60, but closer to the 40s with sensible adjustments. I’m not sure it’s fully at its peak, maybe tweak a few parameters (shadows and post-processing). Your GPU should handle 1080p fine. On a 980ti at 1440p, you can push the game to its limits with FXAA (including Water tessellation) and hit around 60-80fps. The game could use some better optimization, so give it a bit more time if you’re like me.

I'll fetch the game for Christmas if it's in good shape right now. The 380 works fine, just enough for me, though the CPU is slowing down and I should consider upgrading soon. Maybe a slight overclock could help, but the improvement would be small.

The game runs well on PC, but I’d hold off for a driver update to improve it further. For those saying it’s terrible on FX, I actually achieved around 50 FPS at Ultra 1080P in Mad Max. The engine is the same as JC3.

Well from what I've read which I cannot guarantee 100% it has been nearly unplayable on AMD systems because the ge has been horribly optimized for it. It might be worth checking steam review's

Mad Max runs more smoothly because there are fewer elements present, with the mostly sandy environment lacking much grass, trees, and structures.

Same engine with updated physics, the main concern is CPU performance—it should work fine. Graphical aspects might still cause issues.
