I tested it on the Gigabyte board too, and also on an ASUS board. I used various speeds starting at 3000, but the only one that worked consistently was 2133.
I'm struggling to grasp why the only distinction between them, aside from frequency, is voltage—I really don't know if that difference would be significant.
The board and memory controller seem to dislike the CL15 at 3000mhz. The board is built to fail the OC three times and enter "safe mode" a fourth time, which is likely causing the issue. Adjust memory timings manually to 16-16-16-16, leaving other settings as auto. Make sure v-mem is set to 1.350v to confirm the voltage. Then find and disable the PowerDown mode (possibly in the timings menu), press F10, and restart. May help.
Command Rate (CR) at one seems to work; consider switching to 2T for better results. wow. You might also try 2933Mhz manually while keeping the current timing settings. Another question: are the memories located in slots A2 and B2?
I performed that action, but only the XMP setting was changed and it reached 2666. The Corsair RAM didn’t respond.
