Purchase a cable tester to identify faulty pins. https://www.amazon.com/iMBAPrice-Network...way&sr=8-4 Images aren't useful. Even if colors look right, poor contact will prevent it from working.

The cap was placed incorrectly. At this stage, the best choices are to reset it again or use keystone wall jacks as suggested earlier.

This item seems to be a reliable Klein tools crimp tool. I’d likely recommend it based on its description and typical performance.

It seems to be a useful tool for its intended purpose. I appreciate how it automatically trims extra wire when paired with those specialized connectors—no need to manually cut them, which saves time and effort.

Wire colors need to match this pattern... when you grip the cable and the pins face you: identical wiring at each end... pick the same for both sides.

Additionally, I would prefer the B standard as it is the most frequently used.

I recently crafted several cables and think it would be wise to switch to EZ-RJ45 connectors along with a crimper. It’s not a major upgrade, but these parts are a bit more user-friendly since they reduce the need to manage wire placement inside the cable.

It's strange how things turned out when I first connected the cables. I'm not sure why it wasn't always done the right way from the start. Maybe there was a chance moisture got into the exposed ends?

They don’t seem to worry much because the crimper seals the wires precisely at the connector. By then, any moisture issues will likely cause more serious problems inside the device the cable connects to.
