Yes, OBS is one of (if not) the best recording softwares out there. I wonder if your i3 will be able to handle it without stutters though. since OBS is open software, if you have an AMD GPU you can use the VCE encoding (uses the GPU to encode instead of the CPU). the quality / bitrate is lower than if you used x264 (CPU) but it's still worth a shot if you are lagging with that processor. someone made an OBS fork / branch that supports VCE, here's the link for ya.
