The CPU features pads... the connections are in the socket... and they’re easily bent if you're not cautious. But you've already done it before, right?

I don't possess an armband, yet I performed this task on a table in the kitchen. I make sure to discharge myself before interacting with anything inside my computer.

Consider trying the CMOS/Bios reset first, as that's likely the simplest fix. The BSODs usually point to memory problems but can also stem from a faulty CPU or motherboard. If the CPU isn't moved or touched, it's probably one of the three components. You should check each RAM stick separately in different slots on the board, and try a different system too. Always verify the slots individually, even if you test in another setup. If the problem stays with a specific stick or slot, it's likely the CPU or motherboard—then inspect for bent pins or discolored pads. If none are found, test the CPU on another board or system. Debugging the CPU will be the most challenging part, so save that for the end.

It might be a conductive paste that landed on the motherboard. Could you help bridge some of the traces?
