Hi, I've reinstalled all my Steam titles (new HDD) and still face issues with Speedrunners, Skyrim, and Stardew Valley. I've tried almost everything: check game status, reinstall the game, reset the driver, update Direct X, install on C drive, and turned off my antivirus. The problem is that after launching, the intro screen shows for a brief moment before disappearing. In Skyrim (without mods), the launcher displays the detection video prompt every time. Pressing play in the launcher sometimes results in a black screen for a split second only. None of the games are throwing errors or giving clear messages.

Have you experimented with launching the games via their .exe files rather than using Steam? Additionally, consider using Windows compatibility mode to run them directly from the .exe files. It may not work, but it’s worth trying.

I also attempted to execute the executable files and applied compatibility patches. I also tried running them with administrative privileges, but it didn’t work.

Do you own an EVGA card? Alternatively, you can explore: removing d3d8.dll and deleting plugins.txt from \AppData\Local\SkyrimSE

Deleted files related to plugins.txt from the Skyrim directory, not the Skyrim SE folder. No mods were present. Also, the d3d8.dll folder was missing.
