I wasn’t able to take a photo, but I was just watching YouTube and checked my system temperatures to see how the PC was performing. My 7800x3D was running at about 12% usage with a temperature of 70°C. Nothing seemed to help lower it, so I adjusted the fan curves, but nothing worked. I also tried enabling Game Boost on my MSI BIOS a couple of days ago; turning it off restored normal temps. Now I’m concerned whether that BIOS setting might have affected things or if there was a sensor issue. I’m asking if anyone knows what could have caused this after I turned it back on—it worked fine then, but I’m still unsure.
What method are you using to check temperatures? If the CPU runs smoothly during gaming or whatever you do, it's okay. I prioritize real performance over sensor readings, as they can be unreliable.
I believe I discovered a program named presentmon and closed it in Task Manager. My temperatures dropped, but now they’re higher than normal. I’ll test it again with Cinebench, though my fan control isn’t responding either. This might just be an unusual evening today.
