I wasn’t able to take a photo, but I was just watching YouTube and checked my system temperatures to see how the PC was performing. My 7800x3D was running at about 12% usage with a temperature of 70°C. Nothing seemed to help lower it, so I adjusted the fan curves, but nothing worked. I also tried enabling Game Boost on my MSI BIOS a couple of days ago; turning it off restored normal temps. Now I’m concerned whether that BIOS setting might have affected things or if there was a sensor issue. I’m asking if anyone knows what could have caused this after I turned it back on—it worked fine then, but I’m still unsure.

Your readings are normal now. That seems to be coming from the sensor.

The weather has returned to cooler low 40s, making everything manageable after a restart. Still, if it’s that hot, it’s quite alarming given the recent CPU usage around May or June.

What method are you using to check temperatures? If the CPU runs smoothly during gaming or whatever you do, it's okay. I prioritize real performance over sensor readings, as they can be unreliable.

It looks like you've figured out the solution.

I combined the software and hardware details, and it worked well before I started playing Zenless Zone Zero. Earlier I was just browsing YouTube. A benchmark on 3D Mark Timespy showed 24,808, which looked normal.

It looks like the reading might have been unusual during playtime, possibly due to a sensor issue.

I captured the photo this time, but I’m confused about what’s going on. My temperature jumped unexpectedly while I was watching YouTube. Do you think there’s a way to resolve this?

If the temperatures rise sharply, it's likely a faulty sensor. I'd run the CPU through Cinebench to check the readings. As long as it performs normally and isn't severely throttled, it should work okay.

I believe I discovered a program named presentmon and closed it in Task Manager. My temperatures dropped, but now they’re higher than normal. I’ll test it again with Cinebench, though my fan control isn’t responding either. This might just be an unusual evening today.
