You checked your laptop's Wi-Fi driver settings and saw a "Power Management" section, but it’s missing from others—this could mean it’s always on or the feature was combined with another setting.

For some reason, the option for controlling the wireless adapter is not showing up on any of the battery plans. I guess there is no way to control it. I gave up at this point. I think I should just wait to buy a wifi 6e card from intel which future proofs the laptop a little. Thanks for the help guys!

I’d change the cards regardless. ASUS doesn’t secure their WiFi support properly, so it should function just fine. Likewise, an AX210 should too. It’s CNVio, so it won’t work. I really can’t wrap my head around why Intel labels these cards differently. An AX210 is the right choice.

Apologies for not updating the forum again. I retrieved a newer driver for the Wi-Fi card that wasn’t available via Asus’s update app, and most issues have been resolved. There are still some disconnects and errors during gaming, but everything previously problematic is now fixed. I should have done more research before sharing this. Sorry to inconvenience anyone who helped. In short, it was a problem on my end! I found the updated drivers here: https://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com...q=MediaTek Wi-Fi 6 MT7921 Wireless LAN Card
