my grandad is using an i7-2600 with 8 GB RAM on Windows 10 32-bit. He needs to upgrade to a 64-bit version so he can run more than 3 GB of RAM. The system currently supports up to 3 GB, but Windows limits it to 3 GB for compatibility reasons.

Set up a dual boot with 64-bit and 32-bit, move your files, and remove the x32 partition unless you need to wait. His machine will benefit from the upgrade.
