More research shows many users are facing issues with this monitor. A firmware update for the G9 has been found to resolve the problem. It was challenging to install the firmware from a USB stick, so I had to use Rufus instead of the built-in tool. After installation, my 3090 works smoothly at 240Hz. This should really assist others!
