Hey everyone! I'm wondering if you're feeling the same way. I own an R9 380 with 2GB RAM and have been considering upgrading to the R9 390. But after thinking more, I think a 1080p freesync display would be better. So far this year, only two games have really stood out to me: Witcher 3 and MGS. After finals, I plan to binge some titles. I might check out Fallout 4 or JC3 when they go on sale in a couple of years, but I won't rush into buying them just yet. Anyone else have similar thoughts?

I always looked forward to Fallout 4, so I’m not in the same mood.

Ah ok! It just doesn't seem that awesome to me. I mean I love fallout but I'd rather wait for some great mods and to get it on sale. Farcry 4 I wanna pick up! Totally forgot to mention that.

FarCry 4 works fine. It's just an improved version of Farcry 3. Excellent gameplay and a vast world. However, the quests feel monotonous and somewhat repetitive. 7 out of 10. It's enjoyable, but not quite as great as FO4.

The reason you shouldn't upgrade isn't due to missing games. It's mainly because the R9 380 remains a capable graphics card for 1080p titles. Upgrading now wouldn't be wise. Looking at your initial comment, it seems you might be concentrating too much on big AAA titles that attract a lot of attention. Often, those who follow that path end up writing about losing interest in gaming.

I enjoy indie titles and those are the ones I prefer. I don’t need a new GPU for Undertale. I also play a lot of multiplayer games. I really like gaming lately—it’s been pretty dull.

im in a similar boat. I run a 780 classified (non ti) with my own OC on it; it handles the games I play fine. I have yet to find a game that I like that would benefit greatly from an upgrade. however the main thing that is stopping me from upgrading is my VDU. I really want a new VDU, but I cant stand LCD, its just bad compared to my past VDU's, which were ether Plasma or CRT. because of this im stuck waiting on OLED, stuck at 1080p, so I have no need for more GPU power atm. That hasn't stopped me from planning out my next rig however, all I have to do when the time comes is decide on what kind of GPU power will be required for a 5120x2160 screen, will it be 1 or 2 of the flagship GPU's out at that time. After that its simply down to building the rig I have planned which will use a Water Chiller, Mini Dehumidifier, and a semi sealed Cube or Wide Tower PC case. im itching to get started ..alas .. OLED ..why u no here yet ?! >.<

I am moving out in a few months to go to Uni. Just finishing up my general education stuff at a local college. After I graduate I plan on doing a super overkill rig. With whatever flagship stuff is out at the time. Until then I can live with what I got! Just waiting on my new psu and heatsink to come. Need to replace that gross cx750m.
