Hello, I changed my CPU from a Ryzen 3600 to a Ryzen 5800x and it stopped working. I assumed the BIOS update might be the issue, but even after reverting, it didn’t respond. It was functioning well yesterday before installing the new chip. I removed the CMOS, shorted it, and reinserted it. After disconnecting the GPU and reconnecting, I swapped the cables for both HDMI and DisplayPort, but nothing worked. I’ve confirmed all connections are correct, except fans and LEDs which are active. Monitors display images when connected to my laptop, so that’s fine. My specs include a Ryzen 3600 upgraded to 5800x, an ASUS PRIME B550M-A motherboard, an EVGA RTX 3060, two x2 NVMe SSDs (500GB), a Kingston SSD (1TB), and a Seagate HDD (1TB). I’m trying to boot with just one RAM stick and changed the cables, but nothing is responding. Thanks for your help.

As Fasauceome mentioned, the site lists a crash-free BIOS option worth trying. A relevant section from the manual is included below—note the correction in the screenshot description.

Thank you both, I'll give it another shot. If it doesn't work, I'll return and check other options.

I didn’t find a solution with CrashFree BIOS 3. You tried ASUS guidelines, but the GPU isn’t communicating with the monitor. Consider checking connections, updating drivers, or consulting official support resources.

Use the disk included with the board to install the factory firmware. Disconnect all other drives, insert the 3600, and boot from the DVD. Even if the BIOS is damaged, the board will still function using the image. If this method fails (something should appear on the screen), contact RMA for the motherboard.

Unfortunately, I lack a DVD drive to load the disk, which is why I attempted to flash the BIOS using the USB stick (I removed or unplugged all drives). Additionally, I purchased the device about two years ago, so it likely isn't covered under the return policy anymore.

3-year guarantee with exceptions; the TUF non-gaming line offers 5 years. This product is your sole chance to recover since the device doesn’t allow flashback functionality.

It's odd since the CrashFree BIOS tool is shown as a feature on the motherboard page. I'm planning to attempt using an optical drive—probably an external one.

Requesting a SATA DVD drive connected to port 1. Avoid USB drives. If it isn’t available, consider returning it or ordering a replacement. This thread can be useful while handling the return or replacement.
