I don’t feel the same way. The experience I recall is from when I first set up my laptop with Windows 7 Home Premium—it surprised me a lot, especially compared to the time before it.

I also dislike Windows Vista; I had a poor experience with it.

I get the point; I was using Windows XP and 7 before Linux. For me, "aesthetic" means my old VAIO laptop—cute with its default shiny wallpaper and clean Japanese font.

OSes like Elementary OS and Kubuntu look great visually <3 I use Ubuntu with Gnome, even though I have a laptop.

Sure, I noticed that Elementary OS and Kubuntu seem quite refined these days. I used GNOME before, but I moved to KDE because GNOME was causing memory and speed problems. I still enjoyed working with it!

I changed to GNOME since it solved my specific issue, but in KDE. Fascinating.

I realized just how frustrating it was for my laptop, but switching to Ubuntu GNOME made a big difference—it works much smoother than before. I still use KDE on my system, which is running on openSUSE.

It's worth noting. Another relevant update was GNOME 2 running on RedHat 8, which felt quite different from Windows 98 on my old VAIO.

I appreciate the choice of font; it looks very polished.
