I don’t feel the same way. The experience I recall is from when I first set up my laptop with Windows 7 Home Premium—it surprised me a lot, especially compared to the time before it.
I get the point; I was using Windows XP and 7 before Linux. For me, "aesthetic" means my old VAIO laptop—cute with its default shiny wallpaper and clean Japanese font.
OSes like Elementary OS and Kubuntu look great visually <3 I use Ubuntu with Gnome, even though I have a laptop.
I changed to GNOME since it solved my specific issue, but in KDE. Fascinating.

I realized just how frustrating it was for my laptop, but switching to Ubuntu GNOME made a big difference—it works much smoother than before. I still use KDE on my system, which is running on openSUSE.
