Buying any game these days feels like taking a risk. It looks like developers are releasing titles early when they're still flawed. Pre-release sales hurt quality since everyone buys before launch, making it hard to fix issues later. Could be another crash similar to the 80s, just maybe with modern tech?

I've invested a lot of time in this game, especially after CTE was released, and it's really improved since then. It's now quite solid, though I wouldn't have bought it if I'd known ahead of time. The issues I faced didn't stop me from playing regularly—just a few minor problems that I've learned to ignore. Overall, it's still something I enjoy, even if it's not perfect.

Just like I experience the same emotions, I also hold responsibility for both DICE and EA. I’m looking for a different online FPS to enjoy, so I can leave behind the stress of Battlefield, which no longer serves me well.

Battlefield 4 is actually is great game now, I've played about the same amount(314hrs) and enjoyed every minute of it. Then again I didn't buy it immediately i got it on sale(£30 for game and bf premium). The CTE is great, DICE LA are making patches and listening to the community. They can test things that may never have been implemented into the final game. I have had minimal problems with it.

CS 1.6, Quake, UT2004? There are still many great online FPS games out there. The CTE feels like a big blow to many experienced players. Back then, most folks who played 1942 and BF2 didn’t pay for premium because they saw how badly the game was. Making CTE exclusive to premium is really disappointing—they should have welcomed those who enjoyed their titles and understood first-person shooters. Now it’s just another push to buy premium, which doesn’t add much value.

I can't overlook the netcode. I'll hand it over to them—the bugs used to crash often and with random issues, but now Nade spam, netcode, and those powerful weapons are what really drive me crazy. I don’t enjoy arguing about games.

It's hard to believe how quickly things changed after the game launched. I'm struggling to enjoy it anymore, even though I still want to like it. It feels like the developers are trying to push it too hard.

I received it for free with my R9 280X, which I bought mainly for mining purposes. From that point of view, I genuinely wish I hadn’t gotten it. However, the game was extremely frustrating—full of bugs and lag—and there were too many hardcore players on the servers, making it nearly impossible to survive. Eventually, the game would crash unexpectedly. Oh, wait… there was a problem, DirectX failed consistently… despite using Mantle! What the hell?!
