It keeps crashing and slows down during calls. We usually rely on Skype since it’s always available, but recently everyone is facing issues. It runs on Windows 7 and 10 with version 7.12. There seems to be better alternatives. We enjoy screen sharing and the profile picture/messages are good. You can also see people online or offline easily. Some still prefer TeamSpeak, but I find the microphone noise bothersome when people talk. Skype’s mic stays active, which is why voices come through clearly.

I'll share something... It's been a letdown all along.

It's just like usual. The issues you're mentioning might stem from your connection or someone else's.

It was always a hassle. Huh Teamspeak is the best tool for VOIP.

I haven't used it in three years. I've always enjoyed it, but it's been really poor lately. What about you?

I've been using discord, one downside though is it doesn't have a feedback block functionality otherwise I like it more. And I like it more than teamspeak btw, just an opinion though.

I switched to Teamspeak about 90% because Skype has been acting weird lately. Even now, at the time of writing, my Skype is down but it stays open on Windows 10. I’m okay with some lag, but I’m having issues with crashes and those strange ghost calls.

I began connecting with a few friends each week. It’s a pleasant habit. It supports multiple platforms, which is great, and includes some fun features. It handles most of what Skype offers except screen sharing. You can share snapshots of your screen, but not live video. I haven’t used video calls on my PC before, though it does work there. There’s a button on the PC for that purpose.

I try to reach someone via Skype, but it stops working instantly and I’m forced to launch it again.
