The main issue is the absence of suitable difficulty options. At Very Hard it's nearly impossible to defeat anyone, especially with stealth mechanics, on Hard it feels like endless gunfights similar to CoD deathmatch, and on Normal it's simply too easy to get any kind of satisfaction. Everything else functions well, which is surprising since my GTX 1070 still handles everything smoothly at 1440p. I was hoping for 1080p at 60 FPS with medium detail, but instead experienced a much more challenging 1440p session with V-Sync enabled.
I observed a couple of issues right away. Some game sections weren’t loading quickly enough before setting it up on the NVMe drive. Certain textures took about 2-3 seconds to appear correctly. The problem disappeared once I switched the game to SSD storage. The second point is the Afterburner readings after installing the driver: it shows a maximum boost clock of 2000MHz and a sustained rate around 1900MHz, which is higher than expected (should be near 1680MHz). I’m not sure if the game itself is affecting the core clock or if the monitoring tool is overreporting. The GPU temperature stays around 60-62°C with 98% utilization, and the CPU runs at 33-38% at 4.4GHz. All NVIDIA settings remain unchanged; the game defaults to High performance mode. Horizon Zero Dawn demands more from the rig compared to Cyberpunk, which surprised me.
I didn't pay $60, but the game runs well on my system and I'm having fun. Still, it needs some tweaks for better performance. I maintain 45-60 frames per second while moving around the city, whether I'm using low or medium settings, which points to an optimization issue.
It's functioning fine for me. My graphics card is struggling, but overall it's managed to run without major problems. I'm aware of its age, so I'm sticking to medium settings and seeing a stable frame rate—no noticeable drops or jumps. The main issues are bugs; they're frustrating but not critical. For example, I got lost after exiting a vehicle, dropped unexpectedly on stairs, and my clothing sometimes glitches or doesn't match the visuals perfectly. I also encountered problems with sniper rifles and stealth mechanics that felt misleading. Despite these hiccups, I still think it's worth playing. The game feels more stable than many new releases at launch, and it's better in terms of bugs than some other titles. I'm not concerned about the overall experience, so I plan to keep going. By then, it will likely be outdated, and Cyberpunk 2078 will be available. I wish I could have gotten a better graphics card beforehand.
Sure, I’m confident you’d reconsider if it didn’t actually work.
