DX12 now supports more cores, which suits my workflow of recording, editing, and uploading. I checked AnandTech and saw the 780Ti running better cards. Right now my setup is an A10-6800k with a Sony Vegas that freezes often. I’m thinking about upgrading to an FX 6300, but I want to avoid bottlenecks. The 6300 seems solid, though I’m cautious since I’m on a budget. The cheapest CPU options are similar to what I’d need for an FX 8320, plus a motherboard and cooler. Should I switch the GPU or pick another model?
It's really happening, but please don't do it! I need an R9 3804GB with locked i5 +H97 boards. Just saw that change and it doesn’t look right. I’d suggest i3 Skylake or Haswell instead.
It will happen, don't try it. The CPU could overheat and damage everything.
Certain games yes, others no. Planet Side 2, Battlefield 4, GTA 5 and a few will lag a bit on the CPU, but overall most titles rely more on the GPU, so it shouldn’t be a big problem.
