I'm adjusting to Steam Music, as it feels quite different from iTunes. Occasionally I face issues like you—alt+tab, the game doesn't work, it crashes.

Observing its performance for someone who relies on it often reveals why it outperforms WinAmp. It feels like a major improvement over Windows Media Player 9.

I do use it because for some reason my WMP keeps crashing in windows 10. But they need their to expand it to support a wide variety of all the well known audio formats.
