I rely on Steam music for Skyrim since it feels familiar. It’s refreshing to add some variety occasionally. NOTE: Discovered it doesn’t handle .flac files, meaning some albums won’t play. Thanks Valve. Edited July 2, 2015 by evilHamsterzZz

I hadn’t realized it existed until I looked it up after seeing that discussion. For me, it doesn’t make sense since I use Spotify for all my music and always switch between tabs quickly.

It allows you to enjoy music while gaming via the Steam overlay. It’s very useful because you can switch songs or albums without using the alt-tab.

I'm just here for the music from the games you purchase.

Sure, I'm familiar with that. It's commonly used in ETS2.

This feels like a major no-go for me, but moving tabs to switch songs is still quicker than using alt tabbing. I used to do it the same way with WMP. Since Skyrim doesn’t support borderless windows, alt tabbing became frustrating and occasionally caused crashes in my game.
