I own the physical copies of Call of Duty each year for free. The rest are available digitally, except for special editions I might be interested in.
When purchasing games these days, I usually opt for a physical copy since it often matches the cost of digital versions. Once digital downloads became popular, I realized they didn’t reduce prices and expected full price for a game without any tangible items—like discs or manuals. That made me angry at those who take advantage of people!
I haven't used this system for years. The market is forcing it. I miss physical media. When I pay, I prefer items I can physically touch. I still own the original packaging and discs/maps for City of Heroes and City of Villains.
I now purchase audio CDs solely in digital form for myself.
Occasionally, nearby stores offer attractive discounts. Newer titles tend to be more affordable at launch. Mostly I just press the button to start it and save it, without handling the physical media from the packaging.
