Hey everyone, I was curious about your setup. I’ve upgraded from an older 680 to a newer 1070 Asus ROG OC model and I’m trying to push games to their limits. Still, I sometimes think it’s just not the best approach since I keep checking temperatures and performance. There are times when older titles like Battlefield 3 feel too hot on 1920x1080, while newer games run fine on Ultra. I’m also testing BF3 and sometimes reach 60 degrees, but only after switching maps. My concern is whether my GPU is overheating or if dust buildup is the real issue. I’ve cleaned my old card before and noticed it made things worse, so I’m worried about heat and noise. The PC is right next to me on a carpeted floor in a small room—dust seems to pile up quickly. I’m thinking about getting a better cooling solution or moving it somewhere cooler, maybe even paying for a more dust-free environment. Thanks for your help, and let’s hope you can offer some useful advice!

I started with the highest visual options then tweaked the anti-aliasing to double or the minimum quality. When I hit around 90+ FPS, I pushed it up to the maximum. If it stays above 60 FPS, I kept it at max. If it drops below 40 FPS, I reduced the anti-aliasing. One game I couldn't handle was Assassin's Creed 3, where I had to stick to normal settings and no anti-aliasing, but it still looked good. So I'm okay with that.

Sure, I’ve maximized all games at 1440p resolution, though a few titles don’t include AA. I’m still trying to grasp what you’re asking about.

It seems you're asking about the timing of your vehicle's TOG 1070 throttle response and when to be concerned. Could you clarify which specific issue or symptom you're experiencing? That way I can provide more accurate guidance.

Your query seems unclear. Are you asking about something specific? It might not be a serious issue unless the PSU is misaligned or fans aren't positioned correctly.

The GPU temperature at full capacity is quite low, but dropping to 57-58°C becomes problematic. It only starts to pose an issue once temperatures exceed 80°C, even if you increase fan speed.

My device is an Intel HD 4600. I worry about playing games at the weakest options...

I own an i5 and 970 with Overwatch running at the High setting for consistent 150 FPS. My monitor is coming soon, and I’m adjusting to its visual quality now. For reference, a full i7 would be necessary for smooth performance in Overwatch.

HE DIDN'T MENTION HIS PC IS ON CARPET.... @GGWP1337 You're not going crazy... If the CPU or GPU temps stay below 80°C, you're safe... Also, reaching that temperature requires a lot of effort from the "X" component these days... Don't worry Wink

Also, I always try to hit the maximum in every match first. If necessary, I'd tweak a few settings... Nothing's ever happened yet, right? LOL
