I understand, it's really challenging figuring out where to place the connectors.

review the layout carefully. The top row starts with the power LED on the left and the second pin is negative. The next two are labeled power_SW—don’t worry about resetting them yet, but if you do, note the pins below those SWs. Remember, this part of the manual often gets overlooked, so double-checking your board’s pinout is crucial... actually, that’s the most ignored section!

You probably missed pressing the power button, right? I didn’t have a screwdriver available at that moment.

the power button connects just those two pins when you press it for a moment. using a screwdriver on pins 3 and 4 from the top left should produce the same result. reset switch functions similarly, so you can attempt to install the reset switch on the power_sw pins. this helps verify if it powers on with the reset button and prevents shorting the powerLED pins until the correct power SW pins are connected. i typically check everything externally, as reading the layout on the board before building becomes difficult once it gets too dark.

Thanks for your assistance. I plan to give it a try tomorrow after today's long session on the new setup.

Haha, it's normal for everyone. Usually gets simpler once you've had a restful night.

PC building can be an amusingly challenging journey, always failing at first, haha.

My device isn't responding despite being linked to your graphics card.

what parts are involved? aside from the ASUS TUF Gaming Z690-PLUS with Wi-Fi D4, there’s no clear indication of additional hardware beyond that. if you have a BIOS update needed for 13th generation CPUs, or require a separate power cable to connect the GPU, those are important points to verify initially. regarding diagnostic lights, what indicators illuminate upon startup?
