I have the standard cable connections, the monitor plugged into the wall and the DVI cable connected into the GPU and monitor, no signal, tried a HDMI cable that didn't work either, its just a black screen.

If your processor doesn’t end in 'F', you can connect your display directly to the mainboard to see if it powers up.
