No HDD LED installed inside the Corsair CORSAIR iCUE 4000X case
Hello im having an issue where the HDD LED connector is missing from this corsair PC case and im unable to figure out how to get the power button to work, HELP!
The system is functioning correctly. It does not require the front panel connectors to be connected before starting. Have you checked any previous troubleshooting steps?
At first, connecting the device activated the restart feature, yet using the main power button didn’t power it up.
My PC case is a Corrair iCUE 4000X RGB tempered glass mid-tower ATX unit with three SP120 RGB Elite fans and an iCUE lighting node core controller. It features high airflow and comes in black. My motherboard is an ASUS TUF Gaming Z690-PLUS with Wi-Fi D4 connectivity.
the power_sw connector links to the bottom right of the mainboard. The two upper left pins can be connected and even shorted using a screwdriver. If the system boots after shorting them, it suggests the power button is faulty. However, you might want to use the reset button instead. Note: don't connect the top two left pins with the layout markings... but those labeled pwrbtn.
You're unsure about the placement of the front panels. You currently have the power LED, a power LED, a Power Switch, and a Reset Switch.
Power button activates PWRSW, reset switch engages Reset, and PLED+ connects to power LED while PLED- links to power LED. First column shows two unused pins, followed by the two power switch contacts. Second column displays two unused pins, reset button, one empty slot, PLED+, then PLED-.
