My current setup uses a Phillips phone and a Swisscom router, connected together. The internet phone is plugged into a different port than the Ethernet connection. I’m checking if this router can serve as a replacement for your Swisscom device.

If your phone uses only RJ-11 connections, you’d require a device with an RJ-11 port that also handles VoIP.

It might work, believe it. I’d reach out to the supplier to confirm they can set everything up for you. Edit: Are you aiming for wider wireless coverage or simply improved consistency?

You're asking about what "provisioning" refers to in this context. Could you clarify which system or process you're referring to?

They’ll handle the VoIP configuration themselves. If you manage it on your own, it should be straightforward. Also, are you purchasing the router to improve wireless coverage or overall stability?

Improved wireless coverage and consistency. At 7 metres from my existing router, I receive a reliable 0.80mbps in both directions. The cost is 100 downloads and 20 uploads. Ethernet performs adequately.

Do you have DSL or cable? 100/20 is impressive unless it's bonded VDSL or similar. Would I be able to provide the exact model of your router?

Great observation, I hadn't considered inspecting the Swisscom router. Since it's a DSL device, the approach would differ from standard setups. You'll need a DSL-compatible box. Alternatively, you could retain the Swisscom router and then install an access point similar to Ubiquiti.
