I’m considering setting up a new PC with upgraded components. For better flexibility, I plan to install a single high-capacity RAM module instead of two lower ones. To make up for that, I intend to run the memory at a higher frequency. You asked if this is feasible—I believe it can work. Even at 3200 MHz, the bandwidth could reach around 25 Gbps, which is more than the standard 44 GB/s rating.

the "3200 MHz" card operates at 1600MHz and delivers 1600 MT/s as a single unit, or up to 3200 MT/s when paired with another stick thanks to dual-channel support. the i3 10100F supports this speed if equipped with a Z490, B560, H570, or Z590 motherboard.

MT/S is a promotional message. The actual frequency is around 1600MHz, but it operates in single channel mode. It doesn’t actually achieve 1600MHz or advertise 3200 MT/s as real speed. The numbers are mixed up and the explanation is unclear. 1600MHz can't precisely match 3200 MT/s in reality.

Single channel configuration is poor and harms CPU performance. Why bother with a 10105f when you have 12100 + h610 or similar options? Using 1600-3600 + b350/450 works just fine. You don’t need to run single channel—bare PCBs like Samsung 2133-2666 4GB/8GB dimms are affordable and effective. Most Samsung boards outside the 8Gbps class handle 4000MHz easily, so 3200MHz will be fine. Just use generic 3200/3600 primaries and let the board manage timing automatically.

I can retrieve a signal from a stick immediately, display 2000mhz in single channel mode, and return it if you'd like. It will indicate MHZ in both single and dual channels since a single stick of memory in single channel remains a single double data rate module... Why does running one stick make it behave like SD RAM? Please confirm.
