Oh and hear I was thinking that the extra channel (2 sticks) had absolutely nothing to do with frequency. Which is the unit of frequency. Since it's a Double data rate dimm, it's still rated 3200mt/s or as advertised falsely 3200mhz. When I make submissions, it's via the frequency. so 1600mhz vs 3200mhz. Or Cpu-z validations have been wrong for a couple of decades now. Dual channel gives the cpu access to the memory dimms in parallel. You could run 2 sticks in single channel, but wouldn't be efficient for multicore processors.

I understand you plan to use this machine for an extended period, so upgrading to 32GB RAM later makes sense. I believe you'll require 32GB by around 2028, depending on the specs you choose. Amazon.in offers G.SKILL Ripjaws V 16GB DDR4 memory at a discounted price in India—great for reviews and ratings.

It hinges on how much time you have ahead. Even boosting a single channel won't match dual-channel performance. If you plan to upgrade soon, that's fine. For a future beyond three years, it's unlikely. By then, you might need a system using DDR5 for 32 GB of RAM.

I’m responding from a machine with limited resources, but this upgrade offers more power in the future. With the new specs, I won’t have to replace my setup anytime soon.
