I am not certain the problem is limited to the PSU connector. It might be helpful to reach out to tech support or other sources to check if others have encountered similar issues.

Thanks punkncat, after bringing the pc to a store, they inspected each component separately. The issue turned out to be the GPU, which didn't work properly with the motherboard of the seller's machine but did function with mine.

that would still mean that either your power supply or your motherboard was faulty.
or that the guy who sold it to you was lying to begin with, which is more likely.
it's even possible though that the card was somehow physically damaged while in transfer from the previous owner's to your system.
