Hello, so ive had this issue since ive gotten my new parts for a pc im building. the only things that im keeping from my old pc is my gpu, my ram, and some drives, other than that everything is new. when the parts arrived the other day, i set everything up on the motherboard box to test if anything was going to go wrong, and for whatever reason, it wouldnt post. i have an asus board and it would get stuck at the green light (boot) but it went through every other light just fine. i tried pretty much everything, i tried different display ports on my gpu, i tried clearing cmos, i think i reseated my ram, but for whatever reason it just wouldnt post. it would act as if for a second my monitor got a signal, because it would flash the no connection screen multiple times, as if it had a signal for like a second and then lost it. i dont know if i would need to flash my bios, i would assume not just because the board is an asus tuf gaming b660m-plus and the cpu is an i5 12400f. so after troubleshooting different things, i decided to return the motherboard and swap it out for a new one, just in case that was the problem. so i get the new board and set everything back up, and it posts. i dont know what was different but it just worked. then i turned it off, and unpluged the motherboard connector from the actual board itself, then i figured i should go into the bios just to make sure everything was looking good before completely disassembling it. so i plugged the connector back in, and it wouldnt post again, same exact issue as before. i made sure the connector was completely seated, made sure the gpu was fully seated, made sure no wires or anything was touching the pcb to short it or something, but it just wont post at all. i know the gpu and ram are fine because they are currently working in my original pc. im really at a loss for what could be wrong here and im looking for any help i can get, thank you in advance.

It was stuck on green which is boot, according to the ASUS help video, which suggested checking the drive. However, if you're right, you might not need a drive at all to post.
I don't think so, isn't that similar to flashing it? Still pretty new to all this.
